IBA Ireland rally
2015 Rally
This year, the rally has changed format. Instead of a Poker rally, where you were assigned a random card for each location and tried to form the best hand you could, it’s now a Lottery Rally. The basic premise is that there are 7 locations in each of Scotland, England, Ireland and Wales, each numbered 1-7 plus a bonus. When you visit a location, you take a photo of the location, with your ugly mug in the photo and submit it to a webpage which records the date it was submitted.
The points that you get for each location is based on the relevant value of the appropriate lottery ball (in numerical order) for the week following your submission. You can submit up to 7 locations and your total points are used to decide the winner. But you can’t replace any that you have already submitted with one from a later week.
Now the quick witted amongst you may have spotted a cunning plan to pick up location 6 from all four countries and location 5 from three of them. After all, these will obviously be the highest scoring balls in any week. However, you cannot submit more than one picture from each location number. So you couldn’t submit location 6 from England and Scotland.
There’s a couple of twist over and above this. The winner will get €50, but in addition, each player that submits at least 6 locations will also have a lottery ticket bought on their behalf using their scores for each location as the selection, and any winnings are given back to that player. The overall winner will also have a lottery tickets bought with a line from each riders scorecard. The more riders enter, the more lines on the ticket!
So get yourself entered and give yourself a chance to win money for doing nothing worse than riding around on your bike…it could be you!

I've now been given the points for these two and Scotland 2 got 17 points with Scotland Bonus getting 45. Not a bad start!
I've now added another location, Brough Castle, which was location England 6. Another 45 points in the bag and I'm currently sitting in 4th place, with 4 locations still to add. It looks promising!
