2014 Round Britain Rally
I've just entered the third year of this rally. The landmarks haven't been issued yet, but the date for the A.R.S.E (Annual Rally Start Event) has been set for Sunday 30th March. The location hasn't been announced because it is always held at Landmark No.1. I haven't gone to this in previous years, but I might well do this year.
Of course, even once the locations are issued, there are strict rules about publishing them in any form, before the closing date of the rally in October.
UPDATE
The list has now been issued for this year. 100 locations in total, more than the last couple of years. I've now managed to find them using the limited information...or at least I think I've got the right places.
Locations have been plugged into the sat navs and I can now include these checkpoints in any other rally plans that I make during the course of the year, plus the odd trip specifically to pick up some of others. Of course I can't show any pictures until November, but I'll keep a running total of those I've found...so far, it's nil.
UPDATE
The rally has now closed for the year and I managed to get around enough landmarks to acheive a gold award (confirmation pending of course). A total of 59 out of the 100 possible landmarks were visited, 24 in England, 28 in Scotland and 7 in Wales. A few of the pictures are below but you can see all of them on my Photobucket page.
You can also see some of the routes that I took for this, and other rallies, on my Spotwalla page.
